These terms cover your use of Vinzee, a browser extension that types your speech into websites. By installing it or buying a subscription you agree to them.
What Vinzee is — and isn't
Vinzee is a browser extension. It works on websites and web apps in supported browsers. It does not work in desktop applications, and it does not work in Google Docs, which draws its editor on a canvas rather than a standard text box. Safari is not supported. Please try the Free plan before paying, so you can confirm Vinzee works where you need it.
Accuracy
Speech recognition is probabilistic. Vinzee will sometimes mishear you, particularly with names, technical terms, background noise, or heavily mixed languages. Always read what was typed before sending it. We are not liable for messages sent containing transcription errors.
Free trial
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial with full Advance features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and the first payment is taken. You can cancel at any point during the trial and keep using the Free plan.
Subscriptions and renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled.
- Payments are collected by Cashfree. By subscribing you authorise a recurring mandate on your chosen payment method.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If a payment fails, paid features stop working until payment succeeds.
Your licence
Your subscription gives you a personal licence code. It is for your own use across your own browsers. Sharing, reselling or publishing your code is not permitted, and we may deactivate a code we believe is being shared.
Fair use
"Unlimited" dictation on the Advance plan means unlimited normal personal use. It does not permit automated or scripted audio, reselling transcription, or running Vinzee as a service for other people. If usage is wildly out of line with normal human dictation we will contact you before taking any action.
Acceptable use
Do not use Vinzee to break the law, to harass anyone, or to record and transcribe people without the consent required where you live.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Paid features depend on third-party providers (Deepgram, Google) and on your internet connection.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. You may stop using Vinzee and cancel at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
